Founded in 2000, the API Caucus was created to provide API municipal officials and their colleagues with a forum to share ideas and develop leadership experience. With Asian Americans as the fastest-growing ethnic population in California, the API Caucus serves to improve the quality of life, advocate on behalf of the API community, and provide resources to develop the next generation of leaders.  It also provides resources for city officials to discuss League priorities and issues and offer avenues to communicate with the state's API constituency. ​

MISSION STATEMENT

The League of California Cities Asian Pacific Islander (API) Caucus supports and advances Asian Pacific Islander local elected officials and advocates for the well-being of the diverse API community throughout the state.

​The League of California Cities API Caucus connects you to important policy makers in Washington D.C. and Sacramento including the California Constitutional Officers, the Legislature and the API Legislative Caucus as well as corporate and civic leaders.

We open doors and build relationships with individuals who are in public policy decision-making positions.
